Ever since Mr. Mathes suffered a stroke, he lost most of his ability to speak… “ja” (yes)… “nein” (no)… But the lullaby “Good Evening, Good Night” (Johannes Brahms 1868) is engraved in him, perhaps because he use to sing it to his son at night. This video experiments and makes evident the phenomenon that may occur to people who suffer from aphasia: the inability to speak but the ability to sing.

In this video, the mobile phone is symbol of postmodern communication. A social object that reduces feelings of loneliness and increases feelings of cohesion. An object that is shared with others, and in sharing it, becomes “alive”.
