The  training of this artist takes shape by delving into the various fields of formal expression under Bauhaus’ influence  and the new Swiss typographic style when, in the early eighties, he studied at the Schule für Gestaltung Basel (Basel School of Design). Subsequently, he completed a BFA and a MFAGD at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence (USA) and decided to explore the spirit and expressive feeling of free and natural composition. During those years, Soler-Roig became an active witness of the great decade of American contemporary art, working in New York, and assimilating the creativity of Pop, Post Modern Art and New Media.
