Brad Temkin nació en Chicago en 1956. Su interés por la música le hizo adentrarse en 1973 en el mundo de la creación fotográfica. En un principio, sus imágenes se centraron en la industria de la música, con clientes como Mercury Records, Warner Electra Atlantic, Creem magazine, y numerosos promotores de música rock. Paulatinamente, su interés se fue desplazando hacia otros temas, como el paisaje y el retrato, que fue revistiendo cada vez de una mayor carga poética. |

Sus fotografías se han expuesto en numerosas ocasiones tanto en los Estados Unidos como en el resto del mundo y forman parte de varias colecciones permanentes, como el Art Institute of Chicago, Corcoran Gallery of Art de Washington, el Museum of Fine Arts de Houston y el Museum of Contemporary Art de Chicago, entre muchos otros. También han aparecido en publicaciones como Apertura, Black and White Magazine, Grateful Dead, An Illustrated Trip, Strenght From Unity: Expressions on Cancer. En 2005 publicó el libro monográfico “Private Places. Photographs of Chicago Gardens”, con una introducción de Rod Siemmons. |
